Floral design and beautiful table settings are an important part of any reception. With all of the trends gracing the pages of popular wedding magazines and websites it is very easy to become overwhelmed with all of the choices being offered to brides. Invisible Touch wants to make your wedding planning experience a joyous and pleasurable one. We have three of the top table setting and floral design trends that are currently hot for 2012 weddings.

Vintage
More and more couples are opting for a vintage look, incorporating older family photos; sepia photos of themselves, vintage frames and handwritten place and menu cards. Everything that was once old is new again. Using ecru or light pink colored lace linens with high, silver candle sticks will give you that elegant, old world feel. Centerpieces of Porcelana Roses, Irises, Lavender, or even Daises will make your guests feel as if they are dining in a Victorian garden.
Modern Rustic
Tightly packed, fully arranged blooms that are lush, and arranged in a more textured, compact way. The way that the flowers are arranged versus the container they are arranged in is what makes the difference. Hold on to those mason jars, but instead of having a few stems idly leaning against the side, they will be arranged in abundance. The lacey look of Baby’s Breath paired with a rustic branch will add a beautiful contrast to your centerpieces. This trend is the perfect chance for you to incorporate all of your favorite blooms from childhood such as Sunflowers, Gerber Daises, and Peonies. In an interesting twist, Brides and Floral Designers are adding unconventional items like cotton branches and feathers to their tablescapes.

Patterned Everything
The linens used to be decided after flowers were chosen. Not anymore. Using intricate graphics and patterns on linens, dresses, and everything in between is the hot trend. The flowers will instead accent the linens.Event Designers have fallen crazy in love with using clean, structural elements in their designs for the 2012 season. Super modern, clean lines will rule this trend. When working with patterns, single exotics, such as orchids in bud vases and neatly arranged rows of flowers is key when working with eye-catching patterns.Invisible Touch is an award winning, event design house. We work with fabulous vendors such like Flowers by Cina and Fusion Linens to create memorable events for beautiful couples. Upcoming Wedding Trends for 2012
Fusing Bright Colors with Neutrals
While bright colors were huge on the catwalk this summer, neutrals were the elegant alternative.
For 2012, lots of stylish brides will be fusing bright and neutral color. Neutral colors provide a fantastic base for

an accent of a beautiful bright color. Don’t be afraid to use a pop of bright yellow, aqua or coral but pair them with soft neutral tones such as greys, taupes and lattés to create an effortlessly chic style for your wedding.
Victoriana
Thanks to the ever popular Twilight Saga, Victorian wedding dresses are also going to be a huge trend for the 2012 bridal season. Get the look by incorporating this trend into your wedding styling and bring in a hint of Victoriana with elegant damask prints, vintage tableware and ornate floral displays
Outdoor and Rustic Settings
Outdoor weddings have been becoming increasingly popular throughout the last couple of years and this trend looks set to continue into 2012. With the unpredictable weather you need nerves of steel and a great back up plan, however when it all comes together the results are spectacular. Beautiful gardens, State parks, and even country fields were the stage for many gorgeous weddings in 2011, and that is also the prediction for 2012. Accent the natural beauty of your outdoor venue with a pop of color in your floral design or a romantic drape of fabric.
Be sure to stop by the Invisible Touch booth while at one of our upcoming shows or Open House, and meet members of our award winning team! We look forward to seeing you there.

Adding lighting to your wedding reception is the easiest way to impress your guests. Décor lighting can transform a simple room into an elegant and beautiful space, or enhance the décor in any lavishly decorated ballroom. How much or how little to add? This is where style, budget, and imagination come in. There are many different styles of lighting that produce different effects.
A few up lights to frame the sweetheart and cake tables is a great start. You could opt to accent any columns, arches, or the entire perimeter with lights in your favorite color. This is a very effective way to make sure that your guests get the “Wow” factor when they walk in.
You may c
hoose to have your floral centerpieces lit from above. This is known as pin- spotting and adds a nice touch to each table. Monograms or custom image gobos are also a popular option. You can have your name, initials, family crest, or any design projected on the dance floor, or on the wall above your sweetheart table. In addition, you can have several “breakup” patterns projected on the ceiling to add an extra layer of texture or depth to your reception.
Other lights can be used to spotlight your first dance and all the special events. These spotlights help create a formal atmosphere. They also help to make your pictures look spectacular. Another option, if you are having an outdoor reception, is to add Italian style market lights. These strings of lights are used for outdoor area lighti
ng, but also add a traditional flair to your event.
If having some form of décor lighting isn’t an option for you, don’t forget the candles! Displaying candles and votives of different sizes and shapes on your tables and around the venue will make a tremendous impact on the ambiance of your wedding. Sometimes just the candles are enough to make your reception beautiful. However, adding subtle decorative lighting is a great way to set your wedding apart from others.
